VK258 8-port digital I/O expansion box provides additional eight channels of digital input/output for a flexible expansion of the ATEN control system. This allows users to control more digital I/O devices, such as various sensors, dry contact devices, PCs, and motor-driven devices in environments where more devices need to be centrally controlled.

With the advantage of the Ethernet-based connection, the expansion box easily connects to the ATEN controller via a LAN connection from different locations across a network.

PoE Single Cable Installation
VK258 is built with PoE which supplies power through the same Ethernet cable that connects it to the LAN – eliminating the need of an extra power source and extra wiring. In addition, VK258 can be powered via a 5 VDC power adapter.

Expansion via Ethernet
With an Ethernet-based connection, the expansion boxes can be easily installed close to the devices you need to control – anywhere across a network to the ATEN controller.

DC Power Output
VK258 is designed with a DC output connector which can provide a total power output of 12 VDC / 300mA max. It allows you to power I/O or other low-voltage devices that require an extra power supply.
