Server interface modules (CATx "dongles")
supporting video, keyboard, mouse, virtual media, CAC and USB 2.0
Vertiv™ Avocent® server interface modules are CATx "dongles" designed to drastically reduce cable bulk while interfacing between a server/computer and a Vertiv™ Avocent® KVM switch, supporting video, keyboard, mouse, CAC, virtual media and USB 2.0.
The IQ modules connect to a server/computer by means of a video connection and a USB (and/or PS/2) connection.
The IQ modules connect to the KVM switch through a single user-supplied CATx cable (4-pair, up to 150 feet).
The IQ server interface modules draw power from the server and have Keep Alive functionality that keeps your server working properly with or without connectivity to the KVM switch.
IQ server interface modules are available in different versions:
• MPUIQ-VMCDP supports DisplayPort video and USB keyboard/mouse
• DSRIQ-PS2 supports legacy DSR VGA video and PS/2 keyboard/mouse
• MPUIQ-VMCDV module supports DVI video and USB keyboard/mouse
• MPUIQ-VMCHD module supportsn HDMI video and USB keyboard/mouse
• MPUIQ-SRL supports a serial device
• MPUIQ-VMCHS-G01 supports VGA video and USB keyboard/mouse
• SFIQ-VGA, small form factor, supports VGA video and USB keyboard/mouse
• DSAVIQ-PS2M supports VGA video and PS/2 keyboard/mouse
