HDMI cables max out at 50 feet, while CAT-6 can extend to 230 feet (165 feet between receivers). CAT-6 cables are more efficient to run through walls, attics and crawl spaces. Splitter Mode: The major benefit of this mode is taking one source video and playing it on many receiving screens. For example, in an office/store setting, you have multiple monitors that need to play the same video and are rather far in distance from each other.
