• Truly unlimited extension distances - Extension distance is not limited to a single 330 foot cable length. If you need to extend further, simply add a 1GbE network switch to achieve even greater distances.The units are also fitted with SFP cages to accept fiber optic transceivers which enable much greater extension distances.
• Single CATx cable or fiber for greater flexibility. This significant asset is what gives you the freedom to use the full variety of cable links that you typically find within an average structured cabling system. The result is that you can achieve reliable links, regardless of whether the cables are CAT-5e, CAT-6 or CAT-7.
• Real time control with perfect digital video. Using a spatially-lossless encoding system, with 1:1 pixel mapping, the digital video you receive is the same as the digital video leaving the remote computer.
• Security. For applications where security is of high importance, the system has the ability to disable the use of non-HID devices, meaning there is no need to physically block USB ports to prevent the use of mass storage devices.

USB 2.0 True Emulation with Class Control
HMX 6000 enables you to connect any USB 2.0 human interface device from mice and keyboards through to graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks and 3D explorers. Furthermore, most other USB devices can also be attached, such as mass storage devices.

Redundant Network Operation
The units are able to detect whether the network is in operation and can automatically change to its second network port if it detects a failure.

Dual Link or Dual Head DVI
HMX 6000 features full DVI connectivity for either dual link or dual head applications. DVI delivers native digital video signals from your computer to your digital panel (LCD for example) without the need to convert signal types from the digital domain. By delivering native digital video throughout the HMX 6000 network, you can be assured of accuracy on each and every pixel.

Network Topology - CATx or Fiber
You can configure your network topology to best suit your needs. If you simply want to extend one computer Tx to one user Rx, you can do so by connecting both Tx and Rx units via a low cost CATx cable or fiber. Distance is not limited - a single copper network cable will deliver IP traffic up to 330 feet away. If you want to go further, simply add a network switch in to achieve an additional 330 feet. This can be done as many times if you wish. HMX 6000 network is assumed to be a private network which you manage. As such, you can control maximum data rates generated by each Tx unit to ensure absolute stability.

Perfect Digital Video
HMX 6000 makes use of multiple video encode technologies devised by Vertiv Avocent to deliver the very best picture available. Vertiv Avocent's encoding systems are spatially lossless, with 1:1 pixel mapping, so the digital video you receive is the same as the digital video leaving the remote computer.

Wireless Connectivity
Because of the efficient manner in which HMX 6000 constructs data for IP transmission, it is perfectly reasonable to make use of standard off-the-shelf wireless routing to connect either Rx or Tx units to your network. Typical desktop applications (word processing, datasheet etc.) will use very little bandwidth.

Digital Stereo Audio
HMX 6000 delivers crystal clear stereo audio digitally across the network. This ensures continuous fidelity and channel separation between the Tx and Rx units, or even in Multicast environments.

HMX Advanced Manager
Using HMX Advanced Manager gives access to advanced management functions including an EPG style on screen displaying a window which appears in front of the users screen detailing the channels available to them. An administrator can specify different channels and permissions for each user.

RS232 Interface
HMX 6000 includes a bidirectional RS232 interface which can be used to connect devices such as touch screens, simple printers or to control external equipment, and feedback remote data sources.
