29275: Split an extend an HDMI signal to four displays up to 300 feet
@1080p using HDBaseT technology
Note: Receiver units are purchased separately
TruLink® HDMI over CAT-5 4-port transmitter allows HDMI audio/video signals to be extended over CAT-5/5e/6 unshielded twisted pair cables to up to four displays at up to 300 feet at a 1080p resolution. Up to sixteen displays may be supported when using additional transmitters and receivers.
This solution is compatible with any operating system and is truly plug and play with no drivers or so feetware required.
This solution utilizes TruChoice™ power, which allows power to be supplied over the CAT-5 cables to up to four receivers from a single power adapter placed at the transmitter end of the solution.
HDBaseT technology supports HDCP and allows the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) signals, i.e. communication of the display's capabilities, to pass through the extension solution ensuring that the content from the source is sent at the optimal resolution for the display.
The 4-port HDMI over CAT-5 box transmitter features four different modes of EDID communication to provide the best performance for the connected displays. The auto sync mode is ideal for situations where the displays are of the same make and model, or where the displays have identical performance characteristics. The three manual sync modes, Audio only, Video only and Audio and Video, utilize the EDID copy feature of the transmitter to store and use EDID information from a single monitor. This is ideal for situations where displays with different performance characteristics will be used. Copying and using the EDID information from the display with the lowest performance level will ensure that all displays are capable of receiving a signal.
The 4-port HDMI over CAT-5 box transmitter features buttons on the front of the unit that allow the content to the connected receivers and displays to be temporarily disabled. The ports may be disabled individually as a button is provided for each of the CAT-5 output ports. This feature allows the user to edit content through a monitor connected to the local HDMI output of the transmitter without displaying content at the remote locations.
The LED lights on the front of the transmitter provide the communication status of the connected receivers and displays.
Built-in power surge protection and high ground loop immunity ensure high performance signal extension.
This transmitter may be daisy-chained with additional transmitters and receivers to support more than four displays. In the example below, the transmitter is connected to four receivers using CAT-5 cable and to the second transmitter with an HDMI cable. The HDMI cable connects from the first transmitter's local HDMI output to the HDMI input of the second transmitter. The second Transmitter is connected to four receivers using CAT-5 cable allowing this system to support eight displays.

Note: Stranded CAT-5e/6 cables may be used for HDMI extension applications up to 250 feet. Shielded, solid conductor CAT-5e/6 cabling is recommended for applications where the CAT-5e/6 cable must be coiled, is run near other high-frequency signaling cables or in high EMI/RFI environments. For best performance use a CAT-6 solid shielded patch cable.
