SP2+E-POE: Web-enabled, Pro environmental monitoring appliance 

with PoE*, 3x sensor-ports for external sensors and 1x expansion/Modbus port 

SensorProbe2+ compact environmental monitoring appliance monitors and manages environmental, security and power conditions over IP, providing early warnings before critical events turn into a disaster.

sensorProbe2+ Exp PoE comes equipped with 3x intelligent sensor ports to connect a wide range of AKCP sensors, and with 1x dual-purpose expansion (EXP) port that functions both as an RS485 Modbus** port (for connecting to RS485 Modbus sensors such as Power Monitoring Sensors, or for monitoring a generator or other industrial equipment), as well as for connecting with AKCP E-Opto16 and E-Sensor8 expansion modules.

SensorProbe2+ monitors critical environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, liquid water presence, power, intrusion, and smoke with a simple, easy-to-use web interface. SensorProbe2+ allows you to connect an external AKCP sensor such as temperature sensor, thermal map or water leak detection to its intelligent sensor port. You may also connect the sensor splitter box with cabinet thermal maps and contactless current meter, and you have a complete monitoring solution for your rack. With SensorProbe2+ you can monitor temperature front and rear, top middle, and bottom. Check your humidity and current consumption. Utilize virtual sensors to monitor third party devices installed in the rack.

When a sensor goes out of range of a configurable threshold, the system will notify you via email, web page, network management (SNMP), and/or SMS messages (via email-to-SMS).

sensorProbe2+ Exp PoE comes with enhanced software functions (same as SP2+PRO - see table) to include support for IPv6, SNMP v3, and up to 80 virtual sensors, among others.

Like with all other AKCP environmental monitors - running the same user interface as the rest of the sensorProbe+ product line - SensorProbe2+ allows users to keep an eye on remote conditions from a secure web interface and receive SNMP, E-mail, text message and voice call alert notifications when user-adjustable thresholds are exceeded.

The web interface provides an overview of environmental measurements with real time sensor data. All measurements are logged allowing users to collect data for trending and capacity management.

SensorProbe2+ offers secure access through the web and supports HTTP and HTTPS protocols. Easily view and log temperature, relative humidity / dew point and external sensors over the intranet or the Web. No software required - securely access the graphical user interface from a web browser.

SensorProbe2+ Exp PoE offers flexible access rights and security settings with two password-protected access account levels for a User to view data, and for an Administrator to view data, edit thresholds and setup network settings.

SensorProbe2+ can also be powered with dual AC or DC inputs, available through AKCP's external DC-DC conversion boxes. The 12-24VDC or 48-60VDC external power supplies feature dual DC inputs with a single 5VDC output for powering sensorProbe2+ Exp PoE. This is ideal for telecoms applications where DC power comes straight into the cabinets. If the rack is equipped with dual PDUs, users can utilize 2x 12VDC power adapters, one on each AC power source, and connect them to the DC-DC conversion box with the output to the DC jack on sensorProbe2+.

RS485 Expansion (EXP)
Using sensorProbe2+ Exp PoE together with EXP units, users can add dry contacts and sensor ports to their environmental monitoring system, with the ability to place the expansion units up to 1000 feet (300 meters) away from each other. Supported EXP devices are the E-Sensor8 and E-Opto16 expansion units (see listing below).

• 5 Dry-Contact Ports via Sensor Port - Add 5 dry contacts to an RJ45 sensor port

sensorProbe2+ Exp PoE offers password-protected access to its web-enabled user interface, with distinguished access-privileges for a User to view data, and for an Administrator to view data, edit thresholds and setup network settings.

sensorProbe2+ Exp PoE is manufactured using highly integrated, low power surface mount technology to ensure long term reliability.

No Software Required
SensorProbe1+ is simple to install and use, requiring no special software other than a standard Web Browser. SensorProbe1+ connects to an Ethernet network with a standard RJ45 connector and sends data in standard TCP/IP packets. It is easily configured with a simple menu using a Web Browser. Exp PoE version can be password protected with 2 access account level types: Administrator, and View Only. From within an Intranet or over the Internet, the user can securely access the monitoring appliance by entering its IP address.

Centralized Management

Camera Support
SensorProbe2+ supports IP camera video streams through a connection to self-hosted AKCPro Server (running locally on your server).

Using self-hosted AKCPro Server, images from IP cameras can be synchronized with sensor events (e.g. images captured from an IP camera can be synchronized with a security sensor that's being triggered when a door, or window, opens, providing instant visual feedback on the situation).
